Not a wax.
Not a sealant.
A Shield.
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically with your vehicle's factory paint, forming a semi-permanent layer of protection you simply can't get from wax or a dealership detail. Once cured, it creates a hydrophobic surface — water beads and rolls off, carrying dirt with it. It's resistant to UV oxidation, chemical stains, bird droppings, road salt, and minor scratches. Your car stays cleaner longer, and washes take minutes. Unlike wax that lasts 4–8 weeks, a professional ceramic coating lasts 2 to 7+ years depending on the product tier. It's a one-time investment that protects your paint, your resale value, and your finish through every Boston winter.
Boston is brutal
on paint.
Between road salt, freeze-thaw cycles, parking garage scrapes, and summer UV — Greater Boston is one of the hardest environments in the country for a car's finish. Ceramic coating was built for exactly this.
clear coat.
MassDOT dumps thousands of tons of salt on Boston roads every winter. That salt works into micro-scratches in your clear coat. Ceramic coating creates a sacrificial barrier that takes the hit so your paint doesn't.
kill sealants.
Traditional waxes and sealants crack and fail in repeated freeze-thaw conditions. Ceramic coatings are chemically bonded — not layered on top — so they flex and hold through every New England winter.
No problem.
Most Boston-area drivers park outside 365 days a year. Ceramic coating is the closest thing to parking indoors — permanent protection that works around the clock regardless of where your car sits.
How it works.
paint assessment
We start with a conversation about your vehicle, your goals, and your budget. If needed, we do an in-person paint inspection to assess your clear coat, identify defects, and recommend the right package.
wash
A thorough hand wash, clay bar treatment, and iron decontamination removes all surface contamination. Ceramic coating won't bond properly to a contaminated surface — this step is non-negotiable.
(if needed)
Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it. If your paint has swirl marks or scratches, we correct them first. We offer single-stage up to full multi-stage correction depending on your vehicle's condition.
application
We apply the coating panel by panel, working carefully to ensure even coverage and full bonding. Multiple layers applied depending on your package. Precision and patience required — no rushing this step.
aftercare
The coating needs 48–72 hours to fully cure. We walk you through exactly what to avoid during the cure window. Full written aftercare guide included with every job.

Questions Boston
drivers always ask.
Absolutely — arguably more so in Boston than almost anywhere else in the US. The combination of heavy road salting from October through April, constant freeze-thaw cycles, urban parking, and summer UV makes Boston one of the harshest environments for car paint in the country. A ceramic coating pays for itself in paint preservation, reduced washing time, and stronger resale value over a 3–5 year period.
Depending on the package, anywhere from 1 year (entry level) to 5–7+ years (our Elite package). Longevity depends on the product tier, number of layers applied, and how well the vehicle is maintained afterward. With proper care — pH-neutral washes, no automatic car washes — a premium coating easily hits 5+ years.
Not always, but often yes. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it — so if your paint has swirl marks, light scratches, or water spots, those defects will be sealed in permanently. We always do a paint inspection before quoting. For vehicles with significant defects, we strongly recommend at least a single-stage correction before coating.
We bring everything to your location — your driveway, parking spot, or condo garage. All we need is a relatively flat surface and access to a standard power outlet. We service all of Greater Boston including Brookline, Newton, Cambridge, Quincy, Somerville, Wellesley, Needham, Lexington, Waltham, Dedham, and beyond.
A full job — including decontamination wash, any paint correction, and the coating application — typically takes one full day (6–10 hours depending on vehicle size and paint condition). The coating then needs 48–72 hours to fully cure. Keep the vehicle dry during that window if possible.
Ceramic coating is scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. It provides significant resistance against light swirl marks, fine scratches, and wash-induced marring. Deep scratches from keys or road debris can still penetrate it. For maximum scratch protection, pairing ceramic coating with paint protection film (PPF) on high-impact areas is the best approach.
Paint protection film (PPF) is a thick thermoplastic urethane film that offers superior physical impact protection — rock chips, deep scratches, door dings. Ceramic coating provides chemical resistance, hydrophobicity, UV protection, and gloss enhancement. They're complementary — many clients do PPF on front-end impact zones and ceramic coating over the entire vehicle for the best of both worlds.
